Board of Directors

Members of the Bruce J. Heim Foundation Board are family and friends of the Foundation’s founder, Mr. Bruce J. Heim.

Board Members Are:

James Cunningham
In his twenty-one year Wall Street career, Jim Cunningham enjoyed a close business and long-time close friendship with Bruce. Mr. Cunningham holds a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University. He served as a director on the boards of several public companies and as a security analyst and investment banker at several financial firms. Jim and Bruce worked together as business colleagues on various industrial and investment projects.

Thomas Hutton
Tom Hutton was a close friend and served as an attorney and business colleague of Bruce for many years. Mr. Hutton, who has a J.D. and Master’s of Public Administration degree from Cornell University, practiced corporate law in New York concentrating in securities and regulatory law. Mr. Hutton and Bruce served together on the boards of several public companies. Mr. Heim also worked closely with Mr. Hutton’s father, the late Mr. Ed Hutton.

Barbara H. Pailet
Barbara Pailet was Bruce’s sister. Ms. Pailet is a graduate of Newcomb College/Tulane University where she received her B.A. degree Cum Laude with a major in English. Her professional career includes teaching, real estate sales, office administration and over 30 years in non-profit management. She worked closely with Bruce in establishing the focus and formation of the Foundation. She has served as the Bruce J. Heim Foundation Executive Director since its inception.

Carrie Pailet, JD, MSW, LCSW
Ms. Pailet was Bruce’s niece. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where she received her B.A. degree with majors in Psychology and Sociology. Ms. Pailet has her MSW degree from Tulane University’s School of Social Work with a concentration in Gerontology and her JD degree from Loyola University’s College of Law. Her prior professional career included hospital-based social work. Currently, she serves as partner in a law firm where she practices with a focus on Elder Law.

Sasha Pailet Koff, PMP, CPA, CGMA
Ms. Pailet Koff was Bruce’s niece. She holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from The George Washington University and an MBA from Columbia University. Her prior professional roles have included management consulting, marketing, operations, supply chain, strategy and innovation efforts for the federal government, specialty chemical and healthcare arenas. She currently serves as Senior Vice-President, Supply Chain Data Analytics and Automation for a global technology company.
